CIVIL RIGHTS JOURNEY | HIGHLIGHTS

The trip is coordinated by ETGAR 36 (etgar.org), an Atlanta-based firm that specializes in Civil Rights tours for synagogues and Jewish youth groups. Highlights of the Journey are:

Dedicated tour guide to provide narrative and contextualize each activity and event.

Atlanta: Orientation and Leo Franks story

Montgomery: Rosa Parks Museum, Bryan’s Stevenson’s Memorial for Peace and Justice (Lynching Memorial), Equal Justice Initiative’s Legacy Museum, Mothers of Gynecology Monument, Shabbat Services at Temple Beth Or, and Equal Justice Initiative’s Freedom Sculpture Garden

Selma: Tour of Selma and the Edmund Pettus Bridge

Birmingham: 16th Street Baptist Church and Kelly Ingram Park

Atlanta: King Center, Tour of Auburn Street neighborhood, Sunday services at Ebenezer Baptist Church

3 nights hotel accommodations

7 meals (beginning with Friday morning breakfast and ending with Sunday breakfast).

All ground transportation on a well-appointed, comfortable bus that can accommodate up to 50 people.

Important Notes:

You are responsible for your transportation to and from Atlanta. Please plan to arrive at the Fairfield Inn in Fairburn, GA by 8:30 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2026

TRIP PRICING

The prices listed below are predicated on a group size of 25-50 people (so, in the unlikely event that we don’t meet the 25 person threshold, the price will increase by $170. If fewer than 20 people register by June 30th, the trip will be cancelled with full refunds).

$1,095 per person for a double occupancy room.; $1,380 for single room occupancy.

The price does not include transportation to and from Atlanta or lunch on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Refunds will be available if there are people to take your place.

For singles signing up for a double occupancy room, please register your roommate and provide their necessary information in the registration section of the form below as the adult attending with you.

If you choose to arrive before Thursday or stay after Sunday, we can provide information on hotels closer to Atlanta venues you may wish to visit (e.g. National Center for Civil and Human Rights).

If fewer than 20 people register, you will receive a full refund.
