Text & Texture Ceramics Open Studio

Our open ceramics studio is a space to connect and create in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Show up to make and connect alongside friends new and old. We’ll use Jewish texts as inspiration for our work, enjoy snacks and drinks, and learn a wide variety of clay hand-building skills as well as decorative and finishing techniques. All pieces will be fired professionally in our TBE kiln. Feel free to utilize the full time or drop in for an hour or two. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience with clay, all skill levels are welcome. A trained ceramics guide will be present to support your journey! With your pass to our open studios you can drop in at any time during your chosen pass period. The pass isn’t limited to a set number of sessions; instead, it provides flexible access whenever you’re available. Since ceramics is an ongoing process that involves multiple stages—such as building, firing, and glazing—we’re unable to offer special pricing for individual sessions.

Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History – Tour the nation’s leading museum dedicated to the American Jewish experience within the broader sweep of American history.

Important Notes:

You are responsible for your transportation to and from Philadelphia. Please plan to arrive at the Hyatt Centric by 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 16th. Planned activities will conclude by 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 19th.

This itinerary includes significant walking and standing—rain or shine—including an extended period from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday.

Please note that this itinerary has been confirmed but changes may be required due to factors beyond our control.

ADULT TRIP | PRICING

The price per person is:

$1,580 for double occupancy; $1,975 for single occupancy.

The price does not include: transportation to/from Philadelphia, breakfasts, lunches, cocktails at dinner, parking at the hotel.

Refunds will be available if there are people to take your place.

For singles signing up for a double occupancy room, please register your roommate and provide their necessary information in the registration section of the form below as the adult attending with you.

If you choose to arrive before Thursday or stay an extra day or two, we can reserve a room for you at our discounted group rate. Note: you will pay the hotel directly for any extra nights, and you can cancel these extra nights up to 72 hours before check-in time. Once you select your room accommodations, please indicate if you plan to stay for additional nights.
